Ursula is a Solicitor and Solicitor-Advocate in civil proceedings.
She has practised in the field of family law since 2003 and she is a Director of Family First Solicitors. Her practice includes divorce, (both old and new style divorce), jurisdiction issues, Children Act matters including complex trauma, alienation cases, and separated siblings, financial remedy matters, usually involving businesses/trusts and international assets. She has an in depth experience of domestic abuse as a pervasive issue in family matters.
Ursula has appeared before Magistrates, District Judges, Circuit Judges and the High Court as an advocate. She undertakes work at all levels of the family court where her diary permits it and the matter is suitable. She is a QLR, putting forward the case for the prohibited party under the rules preventing alleged victims of domestic abuse being cross examined by their alleged perpetrator. She has a pragmatic and realistic approach.
